What We Do

“Restoring Hope — Restoring Lives”

Salem’s Union Gospel Mission was founded in 1953 as a Christian ministry in Marion County, State of Oregon.

UGM offers assistance, hope and a new way to live to the needy, homeless, addicted and overwhelmed.

As UGM offers nourishing meals, shelter, showers, clothing and food boxes to the needy and troubled, it provides an opportunity to reach many for their greater needs. Through our life-changing adult education and life-skill programs, Bible studies and the rehabilitation aspects of our New Life Program, once-lost lives are overcoming to live victoriously.

It’s Board of Directors is composed of men and women from all over the Willamette Valley.

Voluntary community support is essential, in order for us to reach, mentor and aid the thousands who come to us each year.
