Education & Employment Training
Many men and women enter our New Life Fellowship Programs lacking direction in their lives and often times have never had the opportunity to pursue their career goals. Some have never dared to dream and for others dreams of a future career have been pushed aside in favor of the pressing need of the day and are soon lost or forgotten.
Our Learning Centers provide men & women with:
- An opportunity to improve academic skills
- Prepare the GED exam, if necessary
- Become comfortable in a learning environment
Each New Life Fellowship Program member is assessed and an education plan is developed based on their individual needs and goals. Every step of the way men and women are encouraged and celebrated as they achieve their goals.
The Valley Employment & Career Services (VECS) program helps ready men and women to return to the workforce with:
- Classes to prepare for job readiness
- Resume preparation
- Mock interviews
- Job search help
Our staff works diligently as advocates networking with employers in our community, raising awareness about what our men and women have accomplished through our VECS program, and building bridges for future employment opportunities. Men and women are encouraged to follow their dreams, set attainable goals and take the necessary steps to realize those dreams.
Our VECS program provides a year of after care for our men and women once they leave and transition into our community.
