Men’s Mission
Guest Services
Providing men with emergency services such as nourishing meals, warm safe shelter, a hot shower, clean clothing and personal care items are just the first step in sharing Christ’s love and providing for those in need. In addition to emergency services, guests have access to:
- Case managers
- Counselors
- A dayroom
- Mail service
- Temporary work referrals
- Weekly Foot Clinic
- Dental Clinic
As our staff develops relationships and trust with our guests, they are encouraged to join our New Life Fellowship program.
New Life Fellowship (NLF) Program
The NLF program is an extensive 14-month Christian discipleship and recovery program for men who are ready and willing to make a dynamic change in their lives as they learn to follow Christ.
Bible studies and systematic discipleship help the men in overcoming drug and alcohol abuse as well as learning to deal with other dysfunctional lifestyles, addictions and habits as they learn to depend on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct them.
Work therapy assignments help develop appropriate workplace skills.
The Learning Center helps men improve academic skills and prepare them for the GED exam, if necessary. The Valley Employment & Career Services (VECS) program helps ready men to return to the workforce with job readiness classes, resume preparation, mock interviews and job search help.
Exodus Program
After completing the NLF program, a man may continue to reside at the Men’s Mission for an additional 90 days in this aftercare program while seeking employment and housing. Once employed they may apply for residence at Grear Street Transitional Housing.
Christian Service Internship
Men who have completed the NLF program may apply for this 12-month program with ongoing Biblical training, continued discipleship and internship opportunities throughout the mission to ready them for vocational ministry service after graduation.
