Shelter and Hope

-The Men’s Mission-

“Restoring Hope — Restoring Lives”

Union Gospel Mission, founded in 1953 to reach troubled and needy lives, remains true to that mission today as it meets needs, offers hope and equips lives.

The first opportunity to reach a life for change often  begins with something as simple as:

·          A hot shower

·          A hot, nourishing meal

·          Clean clothes

·          A safe, warm place to sleep

·          Aspirin, razor, an envelope, a stamp, etc.

·          A place to get in from the weather

·          Somewhere to put belongings …

What you and I take for granted ... things that can be impossible for some, are among hundreds of needs that we meet daily...for people who need so much.

HOW IS UGM SUPPORTED?

UGM receives no government funds. Over 90% of out support to provide the over 160,000 meals (more than Salem’s population) … and over 45,000 hot showers and shelter nights … and thousands of items of clothes, aspirin, soap, razors, blankets and other essentials are possible because people like you care enough to be involved.

“What happens to them matters.” Your monthly support and prayers matter.
